Bubble Tea, Dessert Shop Open On Metropolitan Avenue
FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — A space to nourish residents' inner child with a variety of sweets opened its doors on Metropolitan Avenue.
Julieat's Café launched its soft opening earlier this month, offering several flavors of bubble tea, desserts, and gelato at 102-13 Metropolitan Ave.
"I want this to be a welcoming space for families," Julie Kim, co-owner of the café, told Patch. "We want this to be a place where parents can come with their children and unwind. Sweets make for a sweet life."
Menu items include mochi donuts, fruit bowls, smoothies, and milk tea.
Kim opened the spot along with her husband, Ryan, embarking on their second business venture as they manage Pelicana Chicken in Forest Hills.
Kim said her husband wanted to open the store to honor their first date at a dessert shop after dinner.
Julieat's officially opened on June 12, and its hours are Monday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m.
