Best Buddies Party for a Purpose Cocktail Reception

Best Buddies in New York is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting the 4th Annual Party for a Purpose cocktail reception at The Bowery Hotel on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 6:30-10:00pm. The evening is a celebration of our mission of inclusion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and will feature musical entertainment, guest speakers and ambassadors, a silent auction, food, and libations.

All proceeds will continue to support 135 elementary school, middle school, high school, and college chapters in New York State and will build our capacity to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) find friends and secure jobs. 

While we can tell you about the importance of our work, Best Buddies Jobs participant, David, says it best:

“Before I started working with Best Buddies, I worked at several temp job positions. The experience was very hard for me because the days and hours of the week were varied and it was very difficult for me to attend college.  I had the opportunity to interview for a position at JLL and I am happy to say that I got the job!  I went from part time to full-time, and also increased my salary by $7/hour and get full benefits. I am so proud of myself and happy that I am moving along in my career. I couldn't have without the support of Best Buddies.”  - David A.
