Responsibilities:

• Designing Electrical, Fire Alarm and Low Voltage (Communication, Audio/Visual and Security) Systems from Inception to Complete Construction Documents.
• Complete All Phases of Design from Schematics through Construction Administration.
• Meet with Clients to Develop Scope.
• Survey of Existing Building Conditions.
• Prepare Reports and Drawings.
• Develop project specifications for Electrical, Fire Alarm and Low Voltage Systems.
• Knowledge of NYC Filing Requirements and Procedures.
• New utility service designs; coordination with utility company and low voltage system service providers.
• Coordination Between Architectural and Engineering Disciplines.
• Construction Administration including review of submittals, shop drawings, RFI's, & change orders.
• Ability and willingness to mentor junior electrical engineers and designers.    

Qualifications

• Licensed PE and LEED Certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of Building & Energy Codes, NEC, NFPA Requirements.
• Strong trouble shooting, problem-solving skills and ability to provide solutions to complex projects under pressure.
• Strong project management skills.
• Effective written and verbal communications skills, fluent in English.
• Strong AutoCAD and REVIT skills.
• Must Be Authorized to Work in the U.S.
   

Salary
$95K - $115K a year based on experience

Education
Must have 8+ years of experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
E.I.T in NY is a plus
