QUEENS COUNCIL ON THE ARTS CELEBRATES THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE QUEENS COMMUNITY ARTS FUND AND ARTS IN THE SCHOOLS REGRANT PROGRAMS - JANUARY 25, 2007, 6:30PM TO 8:30PM @ THE SHERATON LAGUARDIA EAST HOTEL
QCA announces the 2007 Awards Ceremony congratulating the artistic achievements of the 2007 Queens Community Arts Fund (QCAF) Regrant recipients, the Arts in the Schools (AIS) Regrant recipients and the 2006 Urban Artist Initiative/ NYC (UAI/NYC) recipients.

QCA is distributing over $212,000 to Queens artists, arts organizations and schools, in the disciplines of visual arts, theater, media, literature, dance and music, allowing them to provide cultural programs throughout Queens for the upcoming year. The reception, at the Sheraton LaGuardia East Hotel, 135-20 39th Avenue, Flushing, NY 11354, on Thursday, January 25, will honor 50 Queens not-for-profit organizations, 22 individual artists, and 7 Queens Schools partnering with a cultural organization. Representatives from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), NYC Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA), JPMorgan Chase and other distinguished guest speakers are expected to attend the ceremony.
